Advertising in the UK is governed by self-imposed and regulated codes, implemented through the two committees of advertising practice: Non-Broadcast (CAP) and Broadcast (BCAP).
ISBA represents advertisers’ interests through its membership of both CAP and BCAP and can advise members on what the codes say and how they are applied.
ISBA members can either speak to our in-house experts or for more advice on the content and legality of advertising campaigns they can make use of our free legal helpline.
In addition, for advice on non-broadcast advertisements, they can consult the CAP CopyAdvice team on 020 7492 2100 or by email. For advice on radio advertisements, they can contact the Radio Advertising Clearance Centre (RACC) or for TV advertisements, Clearcast (formerly BACC)
