Public Affairs
Defending the freedom to advertise responsibly is at the heart of ISBA's agenda. Key objectives are to ensure that decision-makers recognise the significance of advertising in our free-market economy, both as a tool to aid competition and as a provider of jobs and a significant sector in its own right. ISBA also strives to ensure that decision-makers are aware of our genuine commitment to the continuing success of self-regulation.
On many issues ISBA works with other players in the commercial communications industry, both in the UK and abroad. Through membership of the Advertising Association, ISBA ensures that advertisers' interests are central to the arguments presented. On the European stage, advertiser issues are taken up through the World Federation of Advertisers based in Brussels.
Within ISBA the Director of Public Affairs and the Director General work together with the ISBA team to run the public affairs programme. The approach is on an issue by issue basis, drawing regularly on the expertise of ISBA members and particularly members of the Public Affairs and Regulatory Group.
Contact our Director of Public Affairs Ian Twinn for further information about the group on 020 7291 9020.
