Press and Outdoor
ISBA’s Press and Outdoor Action Group is a forum for members to discuss issues and developments affecting the sector, which accounts for around a third of the UK’s total advertising spend.
The group meets six times a year and, from its discussions, ISBA has produced many best practice and cost-benchmarking guidelines. The group often uses its platform to urge media owners to be more accountable. Recently, their efforts have been rewarded with some key ouputs, including:
- maintaining an active and constructive position on the Postar, NRS and ABC boards.
- working closely with the Outdoor Ad Association to produce a handbook for advertisers using Outdoor. The Best Practice Guide to Outdoor was circulated to the wider membership in December 2008.
- remaining at the forefront of industry pressure for Outdoor media owners to be made more accountable.
- maintaining pressure on JC Decaux to develop their Live! system and invited ClearChannel to showcase their analogous WAVe technology in our July meeting .
