Sustainability
The UK is the first country in the world to introduce climate change legislation. It is true to say that sustainability, both in environmental and social practice, has become a boardroom issue.
As both government policy and the decision making processes of consumers collide, ISBA member companies are beginning to refocus their activity to reflect this. ISBA has carefully considered its role in this area, convening a Sustainability Working Group to coordinate our work.
It is important that ISBA remains alert and engaged on areas in which we can both speak with authority and best serve our members, which is why we have defined these three key areas of activity:
- Environmental claims in advertising
- Sustainable procurement procedures within marketing functions
- The challenge of direct mail
