The benefits of membership
Anyone working for an ISBA member company can tap into everything we have to offer.
With the exception of our training courses and certain events, there is no charge – the member company will have already paid its yearly subscription. And individual members have the opportunity to play a personal role in ISBA’s activities by sitting on one of our industry-facing Action Groups. Here is a selection of the many services our departments provide that every one of our members can access:
Consultancy and best practice: Advice on managing agency relationships; Conducting agency searches and selection; Advice on agency contract negotiation; Fee analysis and benchmarking research; Free legal helpline. Members can contact this department by emailing Christina Nilsson.
Media and advertising affairs: Actionable guidance on media issues; Advice on engaging production and media consultants; Advice relating to content regulation and copy clearance. Members can contact this department by emailing Michelle Sherlock.
Marketing services: Advice on legal issues, agencies and consultancies for promotions, direct marketing (DM) and sponsorship; Opportunities to join ISBA’s Direct Marketing or Sales Promotion Action Groups. Members can contact this department by emailing David Ellison.
Events and training: A comprehensive range of real world half or full day training workshops covering all areas of the marketing communications mix; Regular briefing seminars keeping members abreast of industry developments, new techniques and best practice. ISBA also hosts two of the marketing calendar’s major events: our full day conference and the ISBA Annual Lunch. Members can contact this department by emailing Louise Raimondo or Elvira Bagge.
Public affairs: Representation to UK and EU decision makers and regulators on all issues impacting on freedoms of commercial communications; Representation, through ISBA’s affiliation with the World Federation of Advertisers on the global stage; Sector-specific working groups on food, alcohol, automotive issues, etc. Members can contact this department by emailing Ian Twinn.
Sustainability: Advice on environmental claims in advertisements and sustainable procurement; Guidance on best practice for commercial activities in schools. Members can contact this department by emailing Ian Twinn.
Communications: Regular, targeted updates on key developments across or affecting the advertising industry; Unlimited access to all documents on isba.org.uk. Members can contact this department by emailing Matt Aston.
