Sponsorship

Sponsorship is an important part of the marketing mix and like other marketing coms possibilities is subject to regulatory change.

London 2012

ISBA has been closely involved with sponsorship issues surrounding London 2012 since the UK won the rights.  Our members include sponsors with first option rights, who are well protected, as well as other advertisers not officially sponsoring the Games, who also want to be aware of their rights.

Bribery Act

The Act has significant ramifications for advertisers engaged in sponsorship. We have held  a legal seminar for members and issue via solicitors Lewis Silkin with whom we work closely on advertising matters. The government have also issued guidance :

ISBA’s Sponsorship Action Group was successfully re-established this year, following a number of member requests and revitalised interest in the possibilities that Sponsorship provides within the marketing mix.
