ISBA launches new CPD accredited media foundation certificate

Designed for marketers of all levels, across all sectors, who are looking to build on and enhance their marketing and media capability, the certificate content covers 26 learning modules from insight and strategy to how to write media and creative briefs, as well as focussed learning sessions on all the key media and digital channels.

The programme includes a mixture of live sessions and video content that will form an invaluable library of best practice for ISBA members. A range of ISBA’s 101 Knowledge Sessions will cover the principals of media discipline and techniques which are designed to help candidates get the basics right as they progress in their roles and learn best practice along the way.

This programme has been developed by Pete Davis, MD of getmemedia.com with input from the ISBA Media Leaders Group. Davis was, for many years, a media controller and has been a course trainer for ISBA for over 10 years and developed the 101 Knowledge Sessions.

Pete said about the Media Foundation Certificate:

“The post pandemic marketing community were witness to huge shifts in habits and trends across all the main advertising communications channels. It’s been quite a reset and this course gives attendees the opportunity to learn key principles across all the main channels as well as the latest case studies and advice.

“Combine this with great sessions on developing insight, innovation and briefing processes, and I believe the course delivers exactly the foundational knowledge needed for improved brand communications. The course brings a really useful accreditation to ISBA members when looking for future staff and it would have been so useful for me to attend in my Nestle days.”

Lisa Walker, Head of Media & Sponsorship, Vodafone and member of the ISBA Media Leaders Group said:

“At Vodafone we place huge importance on training our media and marketing teams to ensure they have the opportunity to stay abreast of changes in the industry. What ISBA’s new course delivers is a mixture of core principles, latest thinking and great examples with a wide variety of subjects.

“The ISBA Media Foundation Certificate will add value to our teams’ knowledge and in turn, give ISBA members a recognised accreditation that will form a useful benchmark of knowledge for the industry.”

The Certificate launches today and will be available to ISBA members. Senior leaders should nominate up to ten members of their team who they believe would be suitable for this Certificate.

The first group to graduate will be announced in November 2022 and for more information, please contact Jane Pinn on janep@isba.org.uk.
