ISBA have been working with our partners, Claire Randall Consulting, to develop guidance on the changes coming from the directives published by the APA (Advertising Production Association in the UK) that took effect from 1 November 2021.
The most significant changes the APA have stipulated are:
- No shoot day should be scheduled for longer than 12 hours
- Working on a Saturday will be charged at 1.5 time for any hours worked versus a normal day as it was before.
It should be noted that the APA’s directive should be seen as their guidance and treated as such and has by no means been officially agreed by the IPA and ISBA. There is still discussion taking place between the industry bodies.
