Most recently he has overseen the £6bn combination of the business with Takeaway.com. His career in marketing includes senior roles at easyJet, Audi UK and Barclays Bank.
Peter takes over the role from Elizabeth Fagan, former Managing Director and Non Executive Chair of Boots UK and Ireland, who has made a significant contribution to ISBA’s transformation.
Elizabeth Fagan said of his appointment ‘‘I am delighted to be passing on the role as President to Peter, who will continue the vital work ISBA has been leading through its members to create an advertising environment that delivers positive social and economic impact. At this time the support and leadership that members provide to ISBA and that ISBA provides to its members is contributing significantly to the rebuilding of trust in advertising. I wish Peter and all the ISBA Executive and members continued success on their transformation.”
This appointment is a significant one for ISBA, at a time when the marketing and advertising industry is changing rapidly in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. Peter brings a wealth of experience from innovative, digitally led businesses across multiple industries, which will be invaluable to ISBA’s future development.
Phil Smith said “I’m thrilled that Peter has agreed to serve as ISBA’s next President. There’s never been a time when there have been more challenges and opportunities for our sector. Peter’s track record makes him uniquely qualified to help us provide the leadership and effective representation that advertisers need.”
Peter Duffy said “‘I am delighted to be able to support Phil and the team at ISBA. I have been impressed with how ISBA has been championing positive change in the industry and am looking forward to working with its members to continue this important work’
