ISBA Member Forum - Sustainability

The third 2026 meeting of ISBA’s Sustainability Forum (via Microsoft Teams).

The hottest summer on record - what does this mean for Advertisers

This summer in the UK saw 1000 wildfires across the country. Blackened skies, road closures and poor air quality became the reality for many,  and for the few the devasting loss of their homes.

The economic, societal and community  impact  of the climate and biodiversity crisis is the context in which we operate and where your advertising messaging and placement exist.

How do we credibly respond to these events? What contribution can we make as advertisers to accelerating efforts to avoid the very worse impacts of climate change.  Every decision we make, as citizens first, marketers second can help build a healthier, happier, fairer society but translating that into business systems and decision making can be difficult.

With this session we are keen to create a space for our members to learn, share and inspire each other on the steps we need to take as an advertising community.

The agenda for our session on the 16th of September at 2pm will be as follows:

  • Ozelm  Senturk from the Sustainable Transformation team at Kantar will  share their latest thinking due to be presented at NYC Climate Week on how sustainabilty can drive effective communications with tangible business outcomes - with a range of UK case studies.
  • We will then dedicate time to enable participants to share initiatives, ideas and challenges that face their organisation in terms of sustainable advertising and the changing landscape in which we are all operating in.

Whether you and your organisation are a sustainability leader, or still figuring you out where credible impact can be driven, this session will be insightful, evidenced and provide you with clear actions to take back to your teams.
