ISBA Digital Retail Media Study - Part 2
Digital Retail Media has grown faster than any channel in recent memory. Last year, ISBA launched our groundbreaking Digital Retail Media Study, helping to drive the development and governance of one of the most exciting modern shifts in distribution, marketing and media investment.
Part 2 of the study, carried out in June 2026 by our partners, mediasense, is a side-by-side capability audit of five of the UK leading Retail Media Networks (Boots, Lidl, Nectar 360 – Sainsbury’s, Ocado and Tesco) across the areas of set-up, delivery and reporting.
Join us for this exclusive ISBA member deep-dive as we launch Part 2 of the Study - setting out what today's retail media networks can do, how brands can invest with confidence and how the industry needs to collaboratively across the divides, to access the undoubted benefits of this sector to both retailers and advertisers (est 2026 spend £4.8bn, projected to double by 2030 to £8.6bn*).
Mediasense’s CEO, Sam Tomlinson, and Associate Consultant, Ito Abe, will lead this webinar. They will also share wider insights and provide active guidance for ISBA members on how to navigate relationships with Retail Media Networks.
We will also be hearing from the following panellists:
- Marie-Claire Puffet, Senior Director of Industry & Marketing, IAB Europe
- Anita Gouland, UK Head of eCommerce, Arla
- Charlotte Murphy, Head of Retail Media UKI, Unilever
- Christopher Ball, Business Lead, Retail Media UK
- Steve Shepherd, Head of Offsite and Self Service Media, Tesco Media
- Tom Priestman, Director of Client Services, Nectar 360
The objective of the session will be to provide ISBA members with greater insight into the industry response to this first verification of RMN capabilities and to gain a greater sense of what developments to expect as a result. More generally, we want to address retail media through the lens of the opportunity that brands and retailers have to create shared value from one of the most significant and exciting new media channels to have emerged in the recent past.
